- WARRANTY
Fireplacenet is pleased to offer a 12 month materials and workmanship warranty on all products sold from this website.
All natural materials such as wood or stone will have variations in grain, veining and colour and slight variations in size which cannot be covered by any warranty as they are completely outside of our control.
All our appliances are covered by 12-month component warranty – this specifically excludes bulbs, batteries, soft ceramics and all other consumable or wearing items.
If in doubt please e-mail us at: sales@fireplacenet.co.uk
Conditions of Warranty
It is the law that a suitably qualified person installs all gas appliances and undertakes any electrical work on electric appliaces i.e. gas fitters should hold GAS SAFE certification. Fireplacenet will not warrant any appliance that is not installed and used in compliance with the law and the instructions of the manufacturer.
Electric Fires are on a back to base warranty only and a returns authorisation needs to be obtained prior to return. This can be done by calling the Fireplacenet contact number or please e-mail us at: sales@fireplacenet.co.uk. Fires will need to be boxed in original packaging and proof of purchase will be required.
For gas fires confirmation of installers GAS SAFE registration details and the job certification number registered with GAS SAFE will be required.
You will need to quote the serial number of the fire during any correspondence or contact with Fireplacenet. This is usually visible by removing a decorative trim or fascia from the fire.
Your engineer should check the installation and operation of the appliance prior to any warranty call to Fireplacenet. If they suspect component failure this should be reported from site by the installer using the Fireplacenet contact number.
Prior to authorising a warranty call on a fire, we may ask you to carry out some elementary checks and perhaps vacuum the pilot of a gas fire to assist us in helping you get your fire working quickly and efficiently. Refusal to co-operate with simple tasks like this may lead to charges being made if elementary problems are subsequently found upon a service visit.
Should a warranty call out be necessary, Fireplacenet will make arrangements for an engineer to visit your home to rectify the problem – Usually within 7- 10 working days. Any warranty visits carried out that are not due to component failure will be charged for. If we suspect that a fault is not due to the appliance materials or workmanship we may request a pre-authorised credit card number which will ONLY be charged if the fault is not due to materials or workmanship.
If in doubt please e-mail us at: sales@fireplacenet.co.uk
Note: Please do not attempt to remove or return installed appliances, as this will invalidate the warranty. Fireplacenet reserves the right to repair and any unauthorised returns will not be refunded or replaced.
- RETURNS
Returns may be accepted when pre-agreed and products are re-packaged in original packaging and returned, undamaged and unused, at the customers own cost to our warehouse address. Replacements will be provided for all products that are returned to our warehouse and are agreed to be genuinely below standard or faulty.
Products that have been used (particularly gas fires) are not acceptable as returns unless pre-agreed in exceptional circumstances. No re-funds are given on used products unless in exceptional circumstances and agreed in advance.
It is strongly recommended that you seek that advice of a GAS SAFE registered installer and ask for a survey before committing to purchase your fire or fireplace.
Packages that arrive damaged MUST be signed for as damaged when accepting from the carrier OR returned by refusing to accept and sign for. No claims can be made against the carrier for damage unless this is adhered to. If in doubt sign 'damaged' on the form/terminal presented.
Cancelation Policy
If you are a consumer then you may cancel your purchase at any time within 7 days of receipt and return back to us at your cost. You must inform Fireplacenet Ltd in writing and return the products immediately in the same condition that you received them, at your own cost and risk. Goods will be inspected for damage and missing goods.
If in doubt please e-mail us at: sales@fireplacenet.co.uk
